The Fisch Nocturnal Rod isn’t sold by regular merchants. Instead, you have to visit a certain location, and have plenty of cash to buy it! What’s so special about it then?
To visit Vertigo, play Fisch on Roblox! There’s a type of fish that benefits nicely from the Nocturnal Rod, and that is the Fisch Colossal Squid – they only come out at night.
Fisch Nocturnal Rod
The Nocturnal Rod is one of the best ones in the entire game, at least in my opinion. This is mainly due to the passive ability you get from it, plus a nice little boost of luck. The main things to note about this rod are:
- Luck: 70
- Passive ability: You can catch Nocturnal-specific fish at any time of the day
The reason why the passive ability is so strong is because it means you don’t have to wait for the server to reach nighttime if you’re specifically looking for a nocturnal fish! An example of this is the Colossal Squid, which can only be found during the night.
Plus, it makes it much easier to fill out your Beastiary quickly as you can gather new types of fish in the daytime. The one downside to the Nocturnal Rod is that it has low Resilience, making it tricky to catch rare fish overall.
How to Get a Nocturnal Rod
To obtain a Nocturnal Rod, you need to reach Vertigo, which is also known as the Abyss. To get here, look out for any Strange Whirlpools that appear near islands. They look like long thin airy lines coming out of the sea! A message is sent to the server to alert everyone that the Strange Whirlpool has appeared, so keep an eye out for that too.
Entering the Strange Whirlpool takes you to Vertigo. There’s an NPC here called Synth, who sells the Nocturnal Rod for $11K, which is quite expensive! You also need 444 coins spare to purchase a Conception Conch that lets you leave Vertigo, so before heading in, ensure that you have plenty of in-game money.

- With the Nocturnal Rod having low Resilience, obtaining the Resilient enchant can help by increasing it by 35%
- Lucky/Divine
- The former increases your luck by 20% and the latter increases your luck by 45%. These are both good for any that has below 100 Luck!
