If you want to know how to destroy toilets in Fortnite, it’s a simple task to get this quest completed and progress through the Battle Pass.
Fortnite has tons going on right now with its latest update. The Halloween content is here, including some major additions to the game’s loot pool. While the best Fortnite weapons have changed, some players aren’t focused on destroying other players but instead taking their rage out on Fortnite’s toilets.
A current quest has a bit of a unique task. You’ll need to destroy toilets in Fortnite! Bit of a random one. However, it’s one of the easiest quests to complete, once you’re in the right spot. However, the bigger challenge might be tracking them down.
Some entire sections of the map don’t have any toilets. There’s only actually a handful of biomes where you’ll even be able to find them, let alone destroy toilets in Fortnite. If you land in the right places though, it’ll be a bit easier.
Knowing how to destroy toilets in Fortnite is one thing, but we’ll run through how you can track them down too. This is what you need to know:
How to Destroy Toilets in Fortnite
To start with, how can you actually destroy toilets in Fortnite? It’s kind of simple. You just need to walk up to one and harvest it until it breaks.
Just like breaking walls, props, trees, basically anything in-game, you can destroy toilets with loads of different items. The pickaxe in Fortnite is probably the easiest.
Although, you can use other items. If you really want to go for overkill, you can pull out the new Pumpkin Launcher and blow up toilets! Although since that spawns in with single digit ammo and you can’t find any more of it from anywhere on the map, using one of only a handful of shots to destroy toilets in Fortnite is a bit of a waste.
Equally a gun will eventually destroy them. A car can get it done too, but that method could cause problems for the quest tracking.
The easiest solution is just to use a pickaxe. However, the harder part to destroy toilets in Fortnite isn’t actually breaking them, but finding them.
Where are Toilets in Fortnite?
Toilets are one of those things on the map you don’t really take much notice of. They’re in bathrooms, quite a few in most POIs. But where would you go to actually find them?
Once you have a reason to find a specific type of prop, it can become a problem. A lot of players might not have even noticed toilets were in the game until they saw a quest and needed to know how to destroy toilets in Fortnite.
Very few players likely have a mental image of where every toilet on the map is located.
In general, some areas are better than others. Both the Olympus biome and the Underworld have basically no toilets for one thing. Apparently, gods don’t need the bathroom.
The Marvel sections aren’t exactly crawling with them, despite all the cells in the Raft added in C5 S4.
Then there’s the wasteland, more industrial space. That also lacks a lot of toilets. You can find some in petrol stations, but that’s about it.
The best spot to find toilets in Fortnite is to go to more residential POIs. Quite a few houses and larger buildings contain toilets. There are also train stations with some, and smaller houses dotted around the map.
More fleshed out buildings often have a toilet area. Like in Grand Glacier, which has a full set.
Once you know how to destroy toilets in Fortnite, it’s just a matter of heading to these spots as you pass and blowing up the toilets.
Since we don’t have any single spot on the map with loads of them, it could take some trial and error. You’ll be grinding XP in BR the whole way through too though.
Why Smash Up Bathrooms?
That’s where to find them and how to destroy toilets in Fortnite, but what’s the reason for all this? Why are we heading straight to the bathroom in each game to smash the place up? It’s one of the odder quests in the game right now.
This means you might be doing it with a bit more purpose. Usually with Fortnite quests the goal is to head over to the spot you need and get it done as quickly as possible.
However, with this Fortnite toilets quest it’s a bit more complicated. Since they’re quite spread out.
The best solution is to do this quest gradually. Focus on the biomes that feature toilets and smash them as you go. Ove the course of a few games you should collect the total that you’re looking for. Although, it might take a little while.
When everyone is trying to do a quest like this, it can be an issue. You might find most of the spots are already broken.
In these cases, it just means more waiting. There’s only so many on the map and the storm could rule a lot of those spots out. Even if you’re focused on breaking toilets and not winning Fortnite games, you might still need to do this over more than one round.
The current Fortnite update has a lot of fun stuff to jump into with all of the different quests. However, if you want to spend your time smashing toilets in Fortnite then the new quest will make sure you’re nicely rewarded.
As we’re getting to the end of the season, we need all the XP you can get! Finishing off these fairly simple quests like how to destroy toilets in Fortnite can go a long way to helping you reach Level 100 (or 200 if you’re being ambitious) before we move on to Fortnite OG Chapter 2 in November.
