Unlocking all the Doom + Doom II achievements has been made easier, thanks to an update for the retro Xbox FPS collection. Doom and Doom II’s easy Gamerscore can be unlocked with the help of cheats, but on console, you previously needed to faff around with a keyboard to enable cheats. With last week’s update, you can now turn on cheats directly from the pause menu. Keyboard no longer required to enable cheats in Doom + Doom II on consolesDoom + Doom II launched into Xbox Game Pass in August without an easily accessible in-game cheat menu — the only way to turn on cheats on Xbox consoles was to plug in a keyboard, which, if you’re lazy like me, is more hassle than it’s worth. However, Update 1, which rolled out to players last week, finally added a proper cheat menu to the game’s pause menu. Now, you can type in all of those cheat codes using your controller, or better yet, simply unlock them all with the press of a button from the gameplay settings menu. Using cheats, such as invulnerability and the ability to walk through walls, you can complete Doom + Doom II in around four hours.
