PlayStation (PS) Stars is down for a large number of players yet again. Members are used to the loyalty program not functioning correctly every now and then. But following the PSN outage, a large number of players have been unable to earn points from campaigns.
PS Stars down again in October 2024, months after it disappeared for a while
The good news is that PS Stars isn’t entirely down like it was for nearly a month back in June. However, an increasing amount of players are unable to complete points-based campaigns, with some complaining that they haven’t been able to do so for as long as one week now. The issue has become more widespread after the PSN outage, prompting the PS Stars subreddit to become clogged with complaints.
The program also seems to be glitched at the moment. A number of players have reported that their phones are getting spammed by PS Stars notifications via the PS App. Others are seeing anywhere between 250-500 point rewards for the monthly campaign that requires playing a game from the PS Plus Essential lineup. The usual reward is 50 points, so while this should be good news, it isn’t.
At the time of this writing, a significant number of players have been unable to complete the campaign, preventing them from earning any points.
“Campaigns haven’t been working for at least 5 days,” complained one member. “Looks like it’s bugged again and I really need those 100 points for a $5 PSN gift card,” wrote another.
We’ll update our readers when PS Stars is fully functioning again.
