Boomer shooter fans, rejoice; The Astronauts’ dark fantasy first-person shooter Witchfire is now available via Steam Early Access.
Designed by the creative minds behind classic boomer shooters like Painkiller and Bulletstorm, Witchfire features a unique blend of Soulslike, extraction, and roguelite gameplay.
In Witchfire, players will set off on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance one’s powers and arsenal. Players will also be able to scavenge valuable resources and retreat to one’s sanctuary, or can alternatively push your luck by confronting Familiars.
Adrian Chmielarz, co-founder and creative director of The Astronauts, said the following:
“Thank you to our early adopters! To all of you who have participated in our Early Access so far: Thank you very much for your help in getting us to this point. Your feedback in our official Discord and beyond has been vital!”
In addition, the Striga is available early in Witchfire as a token of appreciation for all those that already purchased the title, along with those who buy it during Early Access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Witchfire is priced at $39.99 USD, with a 10% discount for the next 14 days as of this writing to celebrate the Steam Early Access launch.
