Consoles Will Remain Core Of PlayStation’s Business In The Future, Says Sony’s Hideaki Nishino

Speaking during an interview with Nikkei, Sony Interactive Entertainment‘s Head of Platform Business Group, Hideaki Nishino, revealed that consoles will still remain at the core of the PlayStation business going forward, despite the campy expanding into PC and mobile devices. When asked to summarise the value of consoles to the format holder, the executive had the following to say:I think that with mobile devices, there are many games that show advertisements, and PCs are difficult to set up, but with PlayStation, once you turn it on, you can experience the content you bought straight away.
