The Doors Floor 2 ending has left the story open with an ambiguous finale.

Doors Floor 2 Ending
At the end of Floor 2 in The Mines, you face off against a distorted Seek entity. Make sure you stock up on bandages and batteries for your flashlight while in Door 199. Entering Door 200 to The Dam, you are introduced to the final boss. Seek is now a large pool of black goo, rather than its usual one-eyed humanoid figure.
The Boss Fight
The Guiding Light shows you which valves you need to turn during this boss fight. Interacting with these valves powers the system that drains the dam. With Seek’s black goo filling up the entire space, any amount of drainage removes this entity from the arena.
To get to each valve, you need to jump across platforms that appear on Seek. At the same time, Seek tries to attack you and destroy the platforms, so keep an eye out. You must not touch the black goo at all, otherwise your HP depletes. There are 3 phases in total for the Seek boss fight, with the amount of valves required to be turned increasing each time.
Once you successfully drain Seek, you can access the generator. While making your way to the machine, you unlock the ‘Down the Drain’ achievement for beating the boss.
The Cutscene
After pressing the red ‘Gate Power’ button, the metal barrier rises to reveal a ladder. Climb up this ladder to enter a dark tunnel until you climb out into the middle of a forest. Head down the dirt path, across the bridge, and to the steps that lead to a large wooden door.
By interacting with this door you get a final cutscene, which sees Seek defeating a Grumble that’s about to attack you and morphing back into a humanoid figure as the doors close. As the ‘To Be Continued’ screen appears, you unlock the ‘See You Soon’ achievement.
