Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics in June — a compilation featuring some of the finest retro fighting games out there. However, much to the chagrin of Xbox fans, the collection was only announced for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Fast forward to August, and Capcom would skip Xbox with another retro fighting game collection: Capcom Fighting Collection 2. It was rumored that Capcom couldn’t bring these games to Xbox because of technical issues with the publisher’s MT Framework engine and the Xbox platform. Now, Capcom has announced on X after speaking with Microsoft, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 are coming to Xbox One in 2025. “We’re happy to announce that after technical discussions with our partners at Microsoft, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will release on Xbox One.
