For the alpha playtest rankings, our Deadlock Tier List showcases the best and worst heroes to use right now. While the game isn’t finished, it’s best to keep up with the meta characters!

Deadlock Tier List

Due to Deadlock being in development right now, only those who have access to the alpha playtest can jump into the game. The rankings below reflect the current state of the game, and will more than likely change in future updates – including the game’s full release.

S Tier

The best heroes in Deadlock so far.

  • Infernus
    • Use Napalm and fire to deal damage
    • Napalm slows enemies down
    • Fire applies the Burning debuff to enemies
    • Turn into a bomb that stuns all nearby enemies
  • Ivy
    • Use vines to slow enemies down and attack them
    • Share buffs with allies
    • Turn into stone to stun and damage enemies
  • Abram
    • Drains the HP of enemies
    • Regenerates own HP
    • AoE attacks

A Tier

Any of these heroes are fantastic additions to any team.

  • Bebop
    • Uses explosives
    • Pulls enemies in to deal damage
    • Slows enemies
  • Dynamo
    • Enter the void to replenish your ammo
    • Replenishes the HP of yourself and your allies
    • Pull enemies in to deal damage, sending them upwards
  • Kelvin
    • Uses ice to deal damage and slows enemies down
    • Move around to leave ice behind which buffs yourself and your allies
    • Summon a dome that replenishes HP for all allies inside
  • Pocket
    • Summon a cloak that deals damage – you can also teleport to it
    • Hide in your suitcase and deal AoE damage
    • DoT attacks
  • Seven
    • Use lightning to slow down and attack enemies
  • Vindicta
    • Fly in the air and aim your scope to attack
    • Summon a crow to deal damage and inflict the Bleed debuff
    • Use a stake to hold the enemy in place via a tether
  • Viscous
    • Use goo to attack enemies and slow enemies down
    • Summon goo that buffs, protects, and heals allies
    • Become a ball of good that stuns enemies whilst dealing damage
  • Wraith
    • You can teleport
    • Buff allies
    • Lift an opponent to stun them

B Tier

Just because these heroes are in the B-tier, doesn’t mean they’re bad. They’re just considerably weaker than those above!

  • Grey Talon
    • Charged shots
    • Attack mid-air
    • Trap enemies
    • Control an owl to deal damage to enemies
  • McGinnis
    • Uses a Mini Turret
    • Summons a spirit to heal allies
    • Build a wall that deals damage and slows enemies down
  • Paradox
    • Warp space and time to attack enemies and prevent them from attacking
    • Teleport to the location of the enemy by swapping places
  • Shiv
    • Use blades in battle
    • Dash to damage nearby enemies
    • If the HP of an opponent is below a certain number, you can one-shot them
  • Warden
    • Use flasks to weaken enemies and slow them down
    • Curse an opponent
  • Yamato
    • Uses a grapple to move to the location of an enemy
    • Attack enemies to heal yourself
    • The power of shadows removes your cooldowns, replenishes ammo (unlimited), and protects you from debuffs for a short duration of time

C Tier

Not worth practicing with them just yet.

  • Lady Geist
    • Sacrifice your HP to deal damage to enemies
    • Drain the HP of enemies to heal yourself
  • Mo & Krill
    • Replenish your HP by dealing damage to others
    • Go underground and jump up to attack enemies above
  • Haze
    • Send enemies to sleep
    • Become invisible

D Tier

The worst heroes to play as in Deadlock.

  • Lash
    • Grapple enemies
    • Stomp your feet to deal damage to nearby enemies
    • Lift enemies and stun them
