Mayfield is hurt, fine. If he can’t play better than this — and his receivers are no help whatsoever — then it’s time to sit him down. Cleveland has no offense.
Heinicke isn’t doing any special. He’s managing the game with a limited offense, but he’s avoiding the mistake which got him in trouble earlier this year.
Wentz played really well for three quarters but couldn’t finish against the Buccaneers. In fairness, Wentz has bad moments, but he’s really bounced back in 2021.
Jones continues to dazzle. The box score was more impressive than the actual tape — although the first touchdown to Kendrick Bourne was awesome — but he’s efficient, smart and evolving.
You see 41 points and think huge game for Burrow, but he really played point guard while allowing the defense and Joe Mixon to do most of the work. A great day for Cincinnati.
Cousins puts up numbers, and the Vikings certainly didn’t lose to the Niners because of him. But at some point, it matters that his stats never translate into big wins.
Jackson was rancid on Sunday, throwing four interceptions in what somehow ended up a 16-10 win. The Ravens need him to be so much better as the schedule gets tougher.
Carr was fantastic on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys in the Raiders’ overtime win. Now, at 6-6, Las Vegas needs him to steer the franchise towards the postseason.
Allen faces a critical two-week stretch, with the Bills hosting the Patriots before visiting the Buccaneers only six days later. Buffalo needs him to be in MVP form.
Herbert has been held back significantly by offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi’s scheme. Still, he’s alternating between playing at an elite level and making too many poor decisions, leading to turnovers.
Prescott was terrific down the stretch against the Raiders, but it wasn’t enough. After losing three of their last four, the Cowboys need Prescott to elevate as they get CeeDee Lamb back.
Stafford is apparently playing hurt, and things aren’t going well. The Rams haven’t won in a month and Stafford has been throwing interceptions. Have to turn it around.
Mahomes has quietly moved up the rankings, as he’s done in the MVP conversation. The Chiefs are 7-4 and their quarterback has a chance to get more acclaim on Sunday night this week.
Brady continues to handle business. Despite a slow start against the Colts, he rallied over the last three quarters, helping the Bucs score 38 points in a stirring victory. Leading the league with 30 touchdowns.
