What Does The Black Market Do?
The Black Market is not a place, but an NPC, a fellow in a multicolored propeller hat with a shirt that reads ‘Sorry ladies im gearing up for Friday’. Very inconspicuous of him.
Why go through all the trouble of finding this guy? He’s one of the easiest ways to get UShards in the game. You can sell unwanted items to the trader and get UShards back.
If you have any Ability Shards you’re not interested in, you can trade those in for XP, which is always useful to have.
How To Find The Black Market
The trick is that the Black Market isn’t stationary on the map. He isn’t even always present. You’ll know he’s arrived on the map when you hear a bag being unzipped, and receive a notification that reads:
‘DEALER ARRIVED.
A Black Market Dealer has spawned.’
He can spawn in at any of several locations around the map, and you’ll need to move fast if you’re going to catch him.
The locations are:
- Behind the wheels of the large blue crane next to the shore in the Port area.
- In the north-west corner of the Floating Village.
- In a backstreet right from the train station exit.
- Behind a tree in Desert’s Approach, above the waterfalls on the North of the City.
You should try all of these until you find him.
