Esports and digital entertainment company NIP Group has announced a large partnership with hospitality company BTG Homeinns, one of China’s leading companies in the space.

Together, the two companies will work on the development and operation of esports-themed hotels in China. The plan is to create a joint venture to manage and oversee future esports hotels in China.

According to a release, the partnership is set to last at least seven years.

The deal comes a short time after NIP Group was officially listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in the United States. The large-scale partnership is very interesting because it effectively gives NIP Group a major influence in the creation and operation of gaming hotels in China, a country that is very open to these types of accommodations.

The first hotel co-designed by the NIP Group and BTG is set to open “in one of China’s top-tier cities within the coming months”, according to the two partners. More hotels will be opened throughout the seven-year period. The overall scale of the partnership appears to be large, with NIP Group taking a ‘controlling stake to oversee investment, operations, and management’ of the new project.

The deal also cements NIP Group’s presence in Asia, a region that is becoming increasingly important to the organisation due to its merger with Chinese company ESV5.

Mario Ho, Chairman and Co-CEO of NIP Group, expressed his excitement: “This strategic alliance holds immense value for both NIP Group and BTG Homeinns.

“For NIP Group, it represents an opportunity to extend its brand into the physical realm of hospitality, offering a unique and immersive experience for esports fans. The partnership will allow NIP Group to reach a broader audience and solidify its position as a leader in the esports industry.”
