Madden NFL 25 lands with another uninspired list of Xbox achievements

The Madden NFL 25 Xbox achievements have now been revealed, and if you were hoping for an exciting list filled with interesting things to do, well, we have some bad news for you. The EA Sports Madden NFL 25 achievements are almost an exact copy of Madden NFL 24’s achievement list. If you’re a fan of the Madden NFL series, this won’t come as a surprise. Since Madden NFL 21, the achievement list for each Madden game has been largely the same, with only a few small differences here and there. Compared to Madden NFL 24, Madden NFL 25 has one less achievement on its list (EA has done away with the Clean the Pile achievement), but apart from that, the lists are identical. Of course, EA’s copying and pasting of achievement lists doesn’t end with Madden NFL. The FIFA (including EA Sports FC 24) and the NHL series have all had near-identical achievement lists for each yearly release, which is a massive shame for fans of achievements and these games. While I understand that many developers don’t care about achievements (and neither do the majority of players when it comes to sports games), it’s disappointing to see a huge company like EA continuously put so little thought into its achievement lists. Of course, there are only so many places you can take achievements when it comes to a sports game, and it can be forgiven if some achievements do repeat with each release, but to have near-identical lists every single year clearly shows that achievements are an afterthought at EA. Will the excellent EA Sports College Football 26 get the same list as this year’s game? I hope not, but considering EA’s track record with its sports games, it most likely will.
