The 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) will take place at the ExCel Auditorium in London, England.

The tournament — which includes a $3m (~£2.34m) prize pool — will take place later this year to draw a close to the game’s 2024 esports season.

The location of the PMGC was revealed by James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, at the ongoing PUBG MOBILE World Cup currently taking place as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Closing out the annual PUBG MOBILE circuit, the PMGC will see its Grand Finals held at the ExCel Auditorium between December 6th and 8th. Tickets for the finals will go on sale to the public next month.

The format for this year’s PMGC will be largely the same as the 2023 iteration, which had its Grand Finals held in the Ülker Sports and Event Hall in Istanbul, Turkey. This year, changes to the tournament’s qualification slots have been enacted following the addition of the regional PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) series earlier this year.

Teams from the game’s global regions have a number of avenues through which to earn one of the 48 available spots in the tournament. These include 15 spaces for invited teams and 33 places divided up amongst the regions. Teams can earn one of the 33 spots through their respective region’s PMSL tournaments or by becoming one of their region’s top PMGC points earners.

As well as the announcements about the PMGC, Level Infinite also revealed a new circuit based around PUBG MOBILE’s Metro Royal game mode. The new circuit, titled Metro Royale Esports, will see competition within the PvPvE mode where competitors must secure and extract loot while fending off both real enemy players and AI fighters.
