Who Is The Hellfire Devil?
The Hellfire Devil is… well… a devil. You can fight him in a small arena that is surrounded by lava. However, if you come into contact with the lava, you will be burnt and suffer from fire damage… so make sure to be careful. If you make a contract with the Hellfire Devil and use the Magic Flame, its appearance will change, and it will turn into a 5-Leaf Grimoire.
It’s worth noting the 5-leaf Grimoire isn’t in-game currently, but this is a way to obtain it once the next update rolls out.
Hellfire Devil Attacks
When in battle, the Hellfire Devil switches back and forth between attack and down phases. When it is in the attack phase, he will be invulnerable to any damage you deal with and will cast powerful attacks that deal fire damage. When it is in the down phase, he will not attack, and this is the only time you can deal damage.
The Hellfire Devil switches between a variety of attacks, below is each one and what they do:
- Hellfire Explosion – The devil creates an explosion centred around him once in each phase. Keep your distance to avoid getting hit.
- Hellfire Bullets – He will shoot small fire bullets at you. Tip: they are easier to dodge if you stand to the side of the arena.
- Homing Hellfire Bullets – When he goes below a certain amount of HP, he will fire bullets at you. They hone in on you and target you, so make sure you’re ready to defend.
- Hellfire Tower – When he goes below a certain amount of HP he will start to summon towers. These will pop out from the ground under your feet and deal burn damage.
- Meteor – Meteors will fly down and home in on you. He uses this attack 12 times in each phase.
Rewards
If you kill a devil (this applies to any devil, not just the Hellfire Devil) you get the chance to obtain these rewards:
- Devil’s Eye – Rerolls the stats your devil has
- Devil’s Horn – Reroll to change your devil’s name and appearance
- Devil’s Heart – Increases the tier level of your devil
