The Redmi K70 became official last November, but the K70 Ultra hasn’t been announced yet. That is apparently set to change quite soon, as Xiaomi China Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Department and General Manager of the Redmi brand Wang Teng has already started teasing it on Weibo.
In his first teaser, he revealed that the K70 Ultra will be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. According to previously leaked specs, the phone will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, and will come with a “1.5K” resolution screen with 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5,500 mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging.
The charging support has in fact already been confirmed through a certification. If you’ve been following Xiaomi for a while, you know that the K70 Ultra is most likely only going to be released in China, but will be used as the base for the upcoming Xiaomi 14T Pro.
We say that because last year the 13T Pro was based on the K60 Ultra, and both of them also had an IP68 certification, so while it’s good to see the K70 Ultra following suit, this isn’t that much of a surprise.
Undoubtedly, Redmi China and its officials will continue to tease the K70 Ultra over the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
