German esports organisation GamerLegion has extended its partnership with esports data and analytics platform Shikenso Analytics.

The organisation seeks to strengthen its international expansion plans, sponsor exposure, and social media impact by leveraging Shikenso’s AI-driven technologies.

In November 2022, the two companies first teamed up to monitor and enhance GamerLegion’s collaborations across social media and streaming platforms. With the extended partnership, GamerLegion’s rosters can also improve their performance using Shikenso’s esports analysis tools.

Since its foundation in 2017, German data analytics company Shikenso Analytics has been at the forefront of driving data-based decision-making in the esports industry. Numerous partners, such as G2 Esports and PGL, use Shikenso’s analysis tools to elevate their brand visibility and engagement.

Earlier this year, Shikenso launched the 2024 ‘Playbook for Authentic Engagement in Competitive Gaming’ in collaboration with esports tournament platform Challengermode. The whitepaper aims to provide brands and organisations with a guide on how to engage with esports audiences.

Fellow German company GamerLegion is a notable esports organisation in the country. Following the disbanding of its League of Legends roster, the organisation currently competes in Counter-Strike (CS), Age of Empire II, Rocket League and Tekken.

Its CS team, in particular, has gained global recognition after reaching the Grand Final of the 2023 CS:GO Paris Major. In January, GamerLegion also joined CS2 circuit BLAST Premier as an Affiliate Member.

The organisation’s partners include sports betting company Fonbet, gaming chair partner BACKFORCE, and esports nutritional supplement brand MINDTANK.

Michael Bier, Sales and Marketing Director at GamerLegion, commented: “Shikenso is essential in measuring activation success, delivering valuable insights, particularly for our non-endemic partners.

“The highly detailed data we receive helps us enhance our offerings for both current and prospective partners, establishing Shikenso as a vital partner in our growth strategy.”
