1999 Platformer Tomba! 2 Is Making A Comeback In 2025 for PS5, PS4

Remember Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return on PSOne? Well, you’re in luck, as the 1999 platform is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch next year, Limited Run Games and Whoopee Camp have announced.Originally released in Japan in October 1999, Tomba! 2 later arrived for PSOne in the US in January 2000 and launched across Europe in June 2000. This re-release marks the first time that Tomba! 2 has graced any other platform, so it’s a pretty big deal for retro fans.Related Content — Upcoming PS5 Games 2024: The Best PS5 Games Coming SoonTomba! 2 expands on its predecessor with the introduction of 3D environments and various collectible suits for players to hoover up, which offer various buffs to the titular protagonist. The shift to 3D also allowed for various features not achievable in the 1997 original, such as dynamic camera movements during cutscenes. Sadly, the game didn’t perform that great, and Whoopee Camp disbanded shortly after its release.Tomba! 2 has yet to attract a concrete release date but will arrive at some point in 2025 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Switch.
