IO Interactive has announced Hitman 3 — Year 2, which starts on January 20th 2022 and which will bring new maps, storylines, modes, and more. IOI starts its announcement by celebrating the success of the World of Assassination trilogy, which has reached the “phenomenal milestone” of 50 million players, with Hitman 3 confirmed as the most successful Hitman game “of all time.”Year 2, which starts in January, will indeed bring a full 12 months of content — IOI says “New maps, storylines, modes and ways to play are all lined up for 2022, which is set to be another exciting year.” A new game mode, called Elusive Target Arcade, will also bring “a new way to play Elusive Targets” — we’ll learn more about this new mode in January. Then, arriving in spring 2022, will be a “major update.” That’s all we know for now, but IOI has promised we’ll hear more in January. What do you think? What would you be excited to see in Year 2?
