The LEC (League of Legends EMEA Championship) has announced a partnership with international hotel chain Marriott Bonvoy.

As a result of the deal, the chain will become the Official Hotel Partner of the 2024 LEC Finals Roadshow taking place in Munich, Germany.

As part of the collaboration, LEC fans that enrol in Marriott Bonvoy’s loyalty programme before August 30th 2024 will receive an exclusive digital collectable chest and key which allows fans to unlock in-game items. In addition, fans attending the LEC Finals in Munich can purchase an exclusive hotel package that includes exclusive merchandise.

Marriott Bonvoy is also adding a selection of LEC-focused rewards onto its ‘Moments’ experiences platform. Marriott Bonvoy members can spend points or purchase access to a range of experiences that includes playing matches on-stage before the finals take place.

The hotel chain will also feature during the broadcast of the LEC Summer Finals. The chain will be integrated into the countdown and break segments before and after matches.

The LEC continues to attract a variety of non-endemic brands to its partnership portfolio. In February, the league partnered with food delivery service Uber Eats while January saw it renew its existing deal with LG UltraGear.

Artem Bykov, LEC Commissioner at Riot Games, spoke on the partnership: We’re hyped to call Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of hotels in Munich home during the 2024 LEC roadshow in Munich.

“We’re always looking to find ways to enhance the experience of our fans and players, and this partnership with Marriott Bonvoy will bring comfort to fans and players making the journey to Munich later this year.”
