The recent Nintendo Direct offered up some fantastic game bundles from Capcom, including the upcoming Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, which launches on Xbox later this year. Unfortunately, though, it looks like the Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection Arcade Classics will skip Xbox entirely, disappointing many fans looking for a retro fix.Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics skips Xbox releaseFor fighting fans, the Capcom Vs Marvel Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics would make for a fantastic addition to their collection, as it packs in seven games from the series’ incredible history. Our hopes were crushed during the game’s reveal when Capcom announced that the collection will launch on PlayStation, Nintendo, and PC later this year without an Xbox port.As for Capcom’s visual novel series, the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, things are looking brighter for Xbox fans. The bundle of fun games will launch on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and PC on September 6.This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Capcom skip past Xbox when it comes to remasters or collections of its classic games. Monster Hunter Stories and Megaman Battle Network previously released on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, but ports never made it over to Xbox consoles.Interestingly, Twitter user Jawmuncher and Windows Central report that Capcom skipping Xbox releases for certain games could be down to a technical issue. According to the reports, Capcom’s MT Framework engine doesn’t offer a cost-effective way to port the company’s older titles to Xbox’s modern ERA system.
