Jurassic Park Survival sounds like it’s going to be great for fans of the iconic 1993 film

Jurassic Park played a huge role in my childhood, and as such, I’ve been eagerly waiting to unlock the Jurassic Park Survival achievements. Attempting to survive large scaly beasts while exploring the locations of the original film sounds excellent, but as new Jurassic Park Survival details reveal, there’ll be new areas on the island to explore — which only fuels my excitement for Jurassic Park Survival.New Jurassic Park Survival details suggest new locations and, maybe, dinosaursJurassic Park Survival sees us step into the shoes of InGen scientist Maya Joshi just one day after the events of the original 1993 film — yes, the T-Rex and velociraptors have already had their epic showdown and Dr. Alan Grant and his cohort have been rescued from Isla Nublar. Joshi has been left behind and forced to attempt to escape the dangerous island on her own.While we’ll be exploring many iconic locations from the fantastic film in this single-player adventure game, new details revealed to IGN by Saber Interactive and Universal suggest we’ll also see some never-before-seen areas too. “We have been working with all our stakeholders on what the island would have looked like after the events of the film,” Universal products & experiences executive producer John Melchior said. “This includes areas we all love like the Visitor’s Center and the T-Rex paddock. But also, what we didn’t see, things that were not part of the tour or got cut off by the storm.”Those on the island were supposed to be there overnight, so what does that mean? What would they have seen and where would they have stayed if everything went according to plan? That is where we are starting. One thing is certain – the island is as much a part of the story as the characters and dinosaurs.”So far, we’ve only been treated to a short trailer for Jurassic Park Survival, which only offers us a look at Maya Joshi, so it’s interesting that Melchior refers to “characters.” The film featured a range of dinos, including a tyrannosaurus, velociraptor, triceratops, brachiosaurus, dilophosaurus, and other scaly friends, but we could be in for some other dino treats in Survival, as Melchior said, “Life finds a way.” when asked about “special dinosaurs.”As for the gameplay itself, Saber Interactive creative director Oliver Hollis-Leick offers a little insight into the adventure itself and how Joshi will handle her predicament. “The island is full of different types of terrain, many of them quite challenging. The player will need to use caution and planning in some cases, checking routes in advance. There will also be times when the player will need to move very carefully through an environment to avoid the attention of certain predators. Maya, the main character, is neither superhuman nor an action hero. There are real risks for her around every corner and the player will need to use a mixture of intelligence, grit, and patience to survive the island’s many challenges.”If you’re looking to inject some dinosaurs into your life right now, we think Jurassic World Evolution is one of the best Xbox simulation games. You have plenty of time to enjoy it too, as Universal and Saber Interactive have said Jurassic Park Survival won’t launch on Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
