Ubisoft‘s Nicolas Lopez has taken to social media to keep stoking the fires on the Assassin’s Creed Shadows hype train, describing the upcoming stealth-action title as the first “next-gen only” entry in the series.Lopez described how not only is Assassin’s Creed Shadows powered by a new iteration of the Anvil game engine, but it’s also the first game in the franchise to implement Ray Traced Global Illumination. Ubisoft revealed during a recent interview with VGC that Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a map that is roughly on par in size with Assassin’s Creed Origins.
