It’s almost time for the Summer Game Fest 2024 schedule, with announcements, reveals, and updates on our most-anticipated games. Recent rumors suggest that for those of you tuning in to see what Xbox has in store for us, the Xbox Games Showcase could have a two-hour runtime on June 9, featuring around 30 games.Xbox Games Showcase will reportedly run for up to two hoursAs reported by Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb on the Kinda Funny Gamescast, the Xbox Games Showcase could run for “about two hours,” featuring “about 30 games, and at least a handful of those are games that we’ve never heard of before.” Following the showcase, Xbox will give us our first look at Black Ops 6 via a Call of Duty Direct as well, so if you fancy checking that out too, you’ll likely need to set aside an additional hour. While we don’t know what the mystery games might be, Grubb says, “I think there will be around five games that we haven’t heard about before and that’s from across all their verticals.”Interestingly, it appears BioWare could be giving us a look at Dragon Age: Dreadwolf during the showcase. “I joked that Dragon Age Dreadwolf won’t be there and will be there,” Grubb said. “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf probably won’t be there, Dragon Age will be there, if that makes sense.” Although Grubb’s comment doesn’t make it clear if we’ll see Dreadwolf or something else from the franchise, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has cleared up the confusion on Restera, saying, “The rumor he’s alluding to is a name change for DA4, not a different game.”Last year, BioWare dropped a fresh trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, confirming that the game will be fully revealed this summer, so it appears the developer is right on schedule.
