Players are now unlocking some of the Hearts of Iron 4 achievements, which suggests most, if not all, of the 60 broken Hearts of Iron 4 Xbox achievements have been fixed. It looks like the real-time strategy title no longer holds the crown for the Xbox game with the most unobtainable achievements. Paradox fixes unobtainable Hearts of Iron 4 Xbox achievementsEarlier this year, Paradox announced it was delisting Hearts of Iron 4 from the Microsoft Store, and after players kicked up a stink about the game’s record 60 unobtainable achievements, the developer said it would look into providing a fix for its achievements. Following another issue that somehow made things worse, Hearts of Iron 4 director Peter Nicholson says a new build of the game has now been pushed live that “should address the unobtainable achievements.” Since the new build was pushed live, we have seen several unlocks from players across the 60 unobtainable achievements, and while it’s still too early to confirm if all of the broken achievements have been fixed, it’s certainly looking promising. Paradox has also given some of those strange ‘Placeholder’ achievements correct names and descriptions, and they’ve been linked on TA to their corresponding DLC packs. However, one odd ‘Placeholder’ achievement seemingly does remain. With Hearts of Iron 4 now delisted from the Microsoft Store and Paradox officially dropping support for the Windows version, it’s great to see the developer making an effort to fix these achievements. I’m sure many other developers would flat-out ignore this issue, so Paradox must be commended here. In other Xbox delisting news, 505 Games pulled Memories of Mars from the Microsoft Store and has announced it’s shutting down the open world survival game’s servers later this month.
