This upcoming matchup takes us back to the very recent PGL Major Copenhagen, where G2 enjoyed a dominating 2-0 victory over MOUZ in the quarterfinal series. However, MOUZ managed to stay on top of the competition so far at IEM Chengdu, becoming the winner of Group A and landing an easy ticket to the semifinal. Will they be able to defeat G2 this time?

This year has been looking spectacular for Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás and his teammates, as they were able to secure top positions at IEM Katowice and PGL CS2 Major. They have continued this form in China, enjoying a three-match win streak that has landed MOUZ in the semifinal.
On their path to securing the playoffs, MOUZ defeated names like TYLOO and FURIA, and their biggest opponent was Liquid in the Upper Bracket Final, where they convincingly won the series 2-0..
While they have successfully gotten past some strong squads in the group stage, G2 is a much more formidable team to go against. Thankfully, young Finnish player Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo has been putting up record scores that can be a great hope for the roster.

Coming from a third-place finish at the CS2 Major, G2 were one of the top names to win this IEM. However, the team stumbled across a roadblock during the group stage match against Liquid, falling to the lower bracket.
During their lower bracket journey, G2 had to defeat Lynn Vision and HEROIC to secure the playoffs. The quarterfinal series against Virtus.pro was a classic domination from Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, which helped G2 get a 2-0 victory and reach this point of the tournament.
So far, except for the one loss in the group stage, m0NESY and Co. are looking as strong as ever.
