Bellanoir is an interesting unit in the game, but it has a lot of specifics. For example, you won’t be able to encounter him while exploring the map. Moreover, you need to have specific preparation for the fight because the boss is not easy to bring down.
Once you manage to do that, you will be able to obtain the Ancient Civilization Core, as well as other loot needed for the late game. With that said, here is how to defeat Bellanoir in Palworld and everything else you need to know about the fight.
Summoning Bellanoir in Palworld
As mentioned, the first raid boss in Palworld can’t be encountered while roaming around. Instead, you have to follow specific steps and summon it. To do that, you must build a Summoning Altar.
This Altar should be in your base, which is also where you will have to fight the boss. In other words, it is advisable to choose carefully which base you want ot use and “dedicate” it to this altar and the fight that will take place after that.
In order to get the Summoning Altar and summon Bellanoir, you must reach at least level 33. Once ready, you will have access to the blueprint from Tech Tree that will allow you to unlock the Summoning Altar blueprint. This will be possible of you have at least 100x Stone and 20x Paldium Fragment.
Once you have this item, the next thing to get Bellanoir in Palword is to get Bellanoir’s Slab Fragments. Those things are located inside these dungeon chests:
- Ravine Grotto
- Mountain Stream Grotto
- Cavern of Dunes
- Volcanic Cavern
After getting access to all those things, it is time to go to the crafting table. This will give you access to Bellanoir’s Slab.
Preparing for The Bellanoir Fight
Before sharing some details about the fight itself, you should pay close attention to your gear. Using proper gear is extremely important, and in order to be effective, you should also be at least level 45. In fact, we would recommend being even higher because the fight isn’t easy.
Speaking of gear, we also believe it is a good idea to use a good shield, as well as the Pal Metal Armor. The latter gives a lot of defense and HP, which is key to surviving the fight. Of course, you will also need a good helmet, such as the Pal Metal Helmet.
As for the weapons, you can get a lot of different options. We have tried using the Rocket Launcher, and it worked well, but you can test something else.
Another aspect that a lot of Palworld fans forget about is their team. Bellanour is Dark-type Pal, which means that it will suffer against Dragon-type options. Ideally, you should have at least one that will do a lot of damage. Some options include Azurobe, Elphidran, Dinossom, Jetdragon, and more.
