Shift Up is a relatively new developer, but that hasn’t stopped its upcoming debut Stellar Blade from garnering significant attention ahead of its launch later this month. The stylish, fast-paced action game is reminiscent of titles like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. If you’re you’re a fan of character-action games, Stellar Blade should be on your radar. At the time of writing, Stellar Blade was the topped the PS5 game charts at Amazon. A demo is available ahead of the PS5 exclusive’s April 26 launch, and your progress will carryover to the full game. If the game draws you in, consider preordering a copy to take advantage of its nice preorder bonuses.
Stellar Blade is being offered as both a standard edition and a digital deluxe edition. Here’s a look at both (along with current preorder bonuses) to help you decide which is best.
Stellar Blade Preorder Bonuses
Preordering Stellar Blade gets you a bunch of in-game items, such as an early unlock of the Planet Diving Suit for EVE, Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings. There are currently no retailer-exclusive bonuses, and we’d be surprised if anything unique popped up before the game’s April 26 release.
$70
The standard edition of Stellar Blade comes with any eligible preorder bonuses and a copy of the base game. It’s also the cheapest way to get your hands on the game, so give it a look if you’re not concerned with the digital collectibles found in the digital deluxe edition. Most retailers are carrying this version, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart.
$80
Step up to the digital deluxe edition of Stellar Blade, and you’ll get a bunch of in-game items and other perks. This includes the following:
- Base game
- Stargazer Suit
- Half-Rim Glasses
- Quadruple Rectangle Earrings
- Stargazer Wear
- Stargazer Pack
- 2,000 SP EXP
- 5,000 Gold
That’s a decent amount of extra content for $10 more than the base game, but you’re mostly getting early-game buffs like EXP and Gold as well as a few cosmetics. Plus, the standard edition is the only way to get a physical copy of Stellar Blade.
