During the quarterfinal match of G2 Esports vs MOUZ, spectators got on the stage resulting in an injury and the game being stopped.

On March 29th, MOUZ and G2 Esports faced off against each other in the quarterfinals of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen. G2 managed to win the first game on Inferno 13-9, so MOUZ looked to bounce back in Game 2. However, the match on Vertigo was cut short, as when the scoreline was 7-5 in favor of G2 Esports, spectators got on the stage resulting in the match being stopped and a possible injury.

After MOUZ managed to bounce back from an 0-6 deficit, multiple members of the audience got through the security of the event. While the staff tried to stop them, they couldn’t stop all of them from getting onto the stage. One of them did a salute in front of the spots of the MOUZ players, while another went straight for the trophy.

One of the protesters is supposedly a CSGOEmpire affiliate who stormed the stage in protest of CSGORoll, which they announced on streaming site Kick. Both CSGEmpire and CSGORoll are skins gambling sites, currently rivaling each other. He was taken to ground by the manager of G2 Esports’ CS team, Petar “peca” Markovic.

Another one of the protesters went straight for the Major Trophy but was tackled before he could do anything to the object. However, the security members fell with him into the stand the trophy was on, which fell on them. Currently, it’s unclear if any of them got injured.

The result of the protesters climbing on the stage was the cancellation of the match and the involvement of police in the Copenhagen Royal Arena. At the moment, the fate of the “streakers” is unclear, but the match continued a few minutes after the incident. It is unclear if the match’s outcome has been altered by the fact.
