Take-Two Unveils Plans To Acquire Borderlands Studio Gearbox From Embracer Group

Gearbox Entertainment, the studio behind Borderlands, is set to be acquired by publishing giant Take-Two for a reported $460 million. Helmed by Randy Pitchford, Gearbox would operator under 2K Games, which has published Borderlands for a number of years now and would free Gearbox from the shackles of Embracer Group, which has laid off hundreds of people as part of a restricting process.
