Xbox players working through the Sea of Thieves achievements will be able to meet PS5 players on the high seas for naval warfare next month, and it looks like there might be plenty of new pirates arriving from Sony’s platform. Right now, Sea of Thieves is the most digitally preordered game on PS5, beating the likes of Dragon’s Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin, and more. We think Sea of Thieves is one of the best games on Game Pass, so the more players jumping into Rare’s awesome game, the better. As shared by Benji-Sales on X, Sea of Thieves: Premium Edition, which packs in everything the game has to offer for $60, is currently number one on PS5’s US digital preorders chart, followed by the $40 standard edition in fifth. In the UK, the Premium Edition continues to hold the top spot, but the Standard Edition is instead in fourth.Sea of Thieves steals the top spot on PS5’s digital preorder chart in the US and UKLast month, Microsoft confirmed that four games are launching on rival consoles in the coming months. Pentiment has already made the jump, having launched on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on February 22, and this month Hi-Fi Rush will join it on PS5 on March 19. On April 13, co-op survival game Grounded will launch on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, followed by Rare’s Sea of Thieves on PS5 on April 30.Arriving just in time for its launch on PS5, Sea of Thieves will finally receive anti-cheat support via a hefty update later this month. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member and are considering diving back into the pirate-filled world of Sea of Thieves, don’t forget that you can pick up some sweet booty from March’s Xbox Game Pass Perks.
