Microsoft selling pricey limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants Xbox Series X

You’ll soon be able to pop all the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 achievements and play the best Xbox fighting games with SpongeBob staring directly into your soul, as Microsoft has announced it is partnering with Best Buy to sell a limited edition SpongeBob Squarepants Xbox Series X.Limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants Xbox Series X goes on sale soonAs revealed over on Xbox Wire, The Xbox Series X – Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Special Edition Bundle includes an Xbox Series X that sports a (some would say terrifying) custom design inspired by everyone’s favorite sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants. On top of the console, you’ll also get a rad-looking custom Xbox Wireless Controller — which features a colorful collage of SpongeBob, Squidward, Gary, and Mr. Krabs — and a digital copy of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. How much will the Xbox Series X – Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 Special Edition Bundle cost, I hear you ask? Well, according to Microsoft, the bundle will set you back an eye-watering $699. I understand this is a limited edition console and controller and a copy of the game, but is it really worth $250 more than a standard Xbox Series X? The limited edition bundle goes on sale at 8am PST on Thursday, March 7, 2024, and will only be available to purchase through Best Buy Drops on the Best Buy mobile app in the US. Microsoft notes that you will want to “set a notification and act fast,” as once the listing goes live, “it will only be obtainable while inventory remains.”This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Microsoft create a limited edition SpongeBob SquarePants Xbox Series X. To celebrate the launch of the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, Microsoft gave away two custom Series X consoles, which arguably look a lot better than this new one.
