The vivo X Fold3 was expected to arrive as the first foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, according to a report from yesterday. Today, the leakster clarified the X Fold3 Pro is the phone that will get the new Qualcomm chip. A non-Pro variant, simply called X Fold3, will be powered by the previous generation of flagship SoC.
The Pro is also the one to get the 50 MP main + 50 MP ultra-wide + 64 MP telephoto with periscope lens camera combination. The regular version will skip the fancy aperture and stick to a more traditional telephoto camera.
The vivo X Fold3 will have three 50 MP cameras – main, ultra-wide, and telephoto. The third should have 2x optical zoom, and the leakster said digital zoom would reach up to 40x. The phone will keep the promised thin profile and light body, making it the thinnest foldable on the market.
These phones are expected to arrive this month. They may be introduced along with the vivo Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro tablets of which we have heard virtually nothing. Vivo has yet to address any of these rumors.
