Learn everything there is to know about the FF7 Rebirth Platforms. On what consoles you can play on where Square Enix’s RPG might be heading next?

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is finally out and we’re heading into the second chapter of the FF7 Remake project. After braving troubles in Midgar, Cloud, and his party are now heading out into the unknown journey in an attempt to stop Sephiroth.

But you want to play the second reimaging of one of the greatest titles of all time. We have all the info you need on which platforms FF7 Rebirth is available, to which it is heading shortly, and who has to wait potentially till the end of time to play this gem.

FF7 Rebirth Platforms

As of writing, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is going to be released on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. This has been known for quite some time. If you pre-ordered the title ahead of the release, you had a chance to get Final Fantasy 7 Remake + Integrade for free in addition to Rebirth.

You can still purchase the double pack for a bigger price and FF7 Rebirth is also available in a normal and collectors edition both digitally and physically. While we don’t have a date for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 yet, it might be arriving on a PlayStation 6 together with remasters of the previous entries.

FF7 Rebirth PC Version

There are currently no official plans to bring Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to the PC. The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was eventually ported to the PC and first came to the Epic Store before arriving on Steam sometime after the PlayStation 5 version releases. It included all the graphical updates as well as the new standalone episode Integrade.

But Square Enix has also announced to bring their other mainline title Final Fantasy 16 to the PC platform, maybe even this year. And while there’s never a guarantee that Rebirth would arrive on PC, it is likely thanks to it being developed on a heavily modified version of Unreal Engine 4.

FF7 Rebirth on Game Pass or Xbox?

As of writing, there are no plans to bring Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth or even the Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Xbox or the Xbox Game Pass. While it could still arrive on Microsoft’s platform eventually and Square Enix has just recently started to test their MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox, we wouldn’t hold our breath.

While the Japanese Heavyweight Publisher has promised to be more open to Xbox releases, with the new Visions of Mana being heavily featured in recent showcases, we still have a long way to go for Final Fantasy to return to Xbox in a huge way.

And that is everything we have on Final Fantasy VII and the platforms it’ll release on. For more all around the release of FF7 Rebirth keep an eye on our features page as we’ll have guides and more once the title officially releases.
