Resident Evil isn’t the only Capcom IP that’s getting its own spin-off tv series, as a Devil May Cry anime has been announced by the publisher. It’ll be called Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, and according to the show’s producer Adi Shankar, season one is already written.Shankar is the same producer behind Castlevania on Netflix, something that helps to bring a lot of confidence in the project from fans. Speaking to IGN Japan, “The season one scripts are done. They are rad and I could not be more excited.”At this point in time Shankar couldn’t really talk about any story details, though he did confirm that Virgil, Lady, and Dante are in the show. He went on to talk about what it was like working with Capcom, saying“The entire team both from the management side and the creative side have been so incredibly supportive and gracious. Kobayashi-san has been wonderful, it’s seriously a joy to work with Capcom. Their character library is unlike anything assembled.”There’s no word as to when we’ll be hearing more about this new series, though it is set to enter production early 2022.Source – [IGN]
