Epic Games Reportedly Sees Nearly 200GB Of Internal Data Hacked By Ransomware Group

Ransomware group Mogilevich has claimed to have obtained nearly 200GB of internal data from Epic Games.Posting on its darkness leaks site (via Cyber Daily), the group wrote the following: “We have quietly carried out an attack to Epic Games’ servers,” claiming it has obtained “email, passwords, full name, payment information, source code and many other data’ that totals 189GB.It went on to add that “data is also for sale,” with a link added for “an employee of the company or someone who would like to buy the data.”Related Content — Upcoming PS5 Games 2024: The Best PS5 Games Coming Soon The group has set a March 4 deadline for someone to purchase the stolen data, but hasn’t said what it will do if no one comes forward by that time or how much it is asking for. It has still yet to post evidence that it has indeed hacked Epic Games. The Cyber Daily report states that Mogilevich has previously hacked the Nissan subsidiary Infini USA, and Epic Games is its fourth target, being relatively new to the ransomware scene.
