EA has announced that the new EA Sports PGA Tour golf game they were originally planning to have out by Spring 2022 has been delayed, and currently does not have a new release window. The news comes from website VGC who spotted it among the companies latest financial results, in a statement which read:“We’re excited to bring championship golf to you and will be providing more information on our launch plans in the coming months.”This will be the first time that a golf game is being brought to the Frostbite engine, something that EA has been doing with all its sports titles. It’ll be the EA Tiburon Studio that’s leading the development, the same team behind NBA Live and Madden. It seems like the studio is doing what it can to put its best foot forward in bringing back the PGA Tour name. According to the publisher they’ve been using aerial scanning to collect data points on Augusta National, which is arguably the most famous course in golf, but hasn’t been accessible before now in previous golf games.Source – [VGC]
