In addition, Beats will be the official sponsor of NICKMERCS’ ‘Gauntlet’ event series and the two parties will launch custom content directed towards the streamer’s audiences.
Beats first ventured into gaming in 2020 when the company partnered with FaZe Clan to launch a co-branded set of wireless headphones. Both the original set of headphones and the second edition that premiered afterwards reportedly sold out in record time.
NICKMERCS is one of the most known streamers on Twitch. The personality was recently featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated and is a partner of apparel brands H4X and Under Armour. In 2019, he became a Co-owner of FaZe Clan after a stint with fellow North American esports organisation 100 Thieves.
Commenting on the partnership, Nicholas ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, said: “Having high-quality audio is critical in gaming. After working out with their new Beats Fit Pro, I can’t wait to partner with the team already responsible for some of the best audio equipment in the world.
“I only bring the best products to my community and with Beats, we’ll be introducing a new level of premium sound to gamers everywhere.”

Beats’ other esports ventures include a partnership with Chinese esports team TOP Esports and collaborations with Higround, a mechanical keyboard brand now owned by 100 Thieves.
Esports Insider says: One of the most prolific brands in the world, Beats is a powerhouse in consumer audio. It’s good to see Beats making moves in esports and gaming, and the success of the company’s previous partnerships with FaZe Clan certainly helped facilitate the partnership with NICKMERCS.
