In Ubisoft’s latest quarterly earnings report, the publisher announced that the hotly-anticipated Assassin’s Creed Red will launch before the end of the publisher’s fiscal year, ending March 31, 2025. As for Star Wars Outlaws, you can expect that to arrive on Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2024. “Moving forward, we’re gearing up for a very promising line-up for fiscal year 2025,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. “[This includes] the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024, which should be a major milestone in the video game industry, especially given the undeniable appeal of this legendary franchise that will be coming for the first time to the open world territory, as well as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, set in the long-awaited feudal Japan universe.”We look forward to revealing the full extent of the creative capabilities of Ubisoft’s teams, who are working hard to make these games a success that will live up to gamers’ expectations.”Ubisoft hasn’t revealed much about the next big Assassin’s Creed game; only that Assassin’s Creed Red is set during the feudal era of Japan — a setting many fans of the series have been asking for. However, a report from late last year about the open-world action-RPG may have revealed more about Red’s protagonist. As for Star Wars Outlaws, we know plenty about the “first-ever” Star Wars open-world game, including when it’s set, planets and locations, a bit about gameplay, and some of the characters and factions we’ll be coming up against. Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on that Star Wars Outlaws release date. In other Ubisoft news, CEO Yves Guillemot recently defended Skull & Bones’ $70 price tag, describing it as a “quadruple-A” game.
