Atlanta Braves legends like Greg Maddux reacted to the team winning their first World Series title in over two decades.

Atlanta Braves fans have looked back fondly at their last World Series title, which came in 1995 when they defeated the Cleveland Indians in six games. The team rallied behind the MVP-performance of pitcher Tom Glavine and the managing skills of the great Bobby Cox.

Now, they will reminisce about the 2021 Braves team that defeated the Houston Astros in the World Series. The Commissioner’s Trophy was all theirs after they defeated the Astros 7-0 in Game 6.

There were many fans sending their congratulations to the team, and from legends such as Greg Maddux and Dale Murphy.

This is an Atlanta team that fans will reminisce about for quite some time.

They managed to clinch the NL East title by winning 88 games in the regular-season. From there, they eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers in four games to clinch an NLCS berth for the second-consecutive year against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Atlanta did not falter against the team that came back from a 3-1 deficit last year, as they sent Los Angeles packing in six games to clinch their first NL pennant for the first time since 1999.

The Braves clinched the World Series title on Tuesday night, thanks in part to Jorge Soler hitting a three-run homer in the third inning. As a result of this home run and his others in Games 1 and 4, Soler won the World Series MVP.

Enjoy it Braves fans. After 26 years, you can call your favorite team World Series champions.
