Drift Street is a strange sort of driving game where the main goal is perfect parking. You also need to drift around gorillas sometimes. It’s pretty tough to get to grips with, but once it clicks you’re going to find a lot of fun waiting for you.
So we thought it was a good idea to write this guide. We’ve spent a decent amount of time with Drift Street and discovered the strategies you’re going to need to make sure you’re missing all of the cars and parking perfectly every time.
Whether you’ve already skidded into bins a few times or you’re just figuring out how the game works, there’s going to be something here to help you out. So let’s do this – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Drift Street.
Don’t park where you’re not supposed to
If there’s a disabled sign or white ziz-zag marks on the ground, then you’re not allowed to stop there. You can leave a bit of your car hanging into a space you’re not supposed to be in, but if it’s too much you’re going to fail. If you’re not sure you’re going to hit a space right, pass it by and try the next one.
Look for coins
The coins often show you where there are spaces you can nip into, and that there are junctions you’re going to have to drift around. However, you need to be wary – sometimes the coins will lead you into disabled parking spaces, and you don’t want to park in them. Play smart.
You’ll do a full drift if you tap
There’s no degrees of drift here. If you’re heading towards a parking space and you tap gently on the screen, you’re going to go into a full drift. The only time you have any control is when you’re avoiding cars or going through junctions.
Learn the timing
The key to succeeding here is to get your timing right. Look at where you are when your drifts work just how you want them to and try to replicate that everytime. The better you get with your timing, the better you’re going to do. If you miss the spot for a drift, just don’t perform it and move onto the next opportunity.
Any nudge is game over
You can’t hit any of the cars, bikes, or bins that surround you in the game. Even the slightest nudge is enough for you to fail your run. It doesn’t matter if they’re moving or stationary – one hit and you’re done. That’s why it’s key to work on your timing and make sure you’re not taking too many chances.
