The long answer, however, is a huge maybe. Recently, there have been rumours that Xbox will be releasing some of its first-party, console exclusive games on other console platforms, meaning PlayStation and Nintendo.At time of writing, rumours and reports swelled to saying that in fact, Xbox will cease to have console exclusives. They’ll release all the games their first-party studios develop on PlayStation alongside Xbox platforms.Which means, Gears Of War and the rest of the franchise could very well be making a proper PlayStation debut. Unlike the un-released, internal experiment that was Gears Of War on PS3.Again, at time of writing we’ve yet to hear anything official. However, Microsoft’s chief executive officer of its Gaming division, Phil Spencer, has released a statement saying we’ll find out more next week.“We’re listening and we hear you. We’ve been planning a business update event for next week, where we look forward to sharing more details with you about our vision for the future of Xbox.
