Sony recently announced a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth focused PlayStation State of Play, and it looks like the company planned to surprise players with a demo at the event. Unfortunately, Sony’s own servers ended up giving the surprise away, with known PSN scraper PlayStation Game Size outing the demo’s information.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo could be out as early as Tuesday, February 6
Unless the demo isn’t a surprise drop, it should release on Tuesday, February 6. According to PlayStation Game Size, players will be rewarded with an in-game “Kupo Charm – Survival Set” for completing the demo. Additionally, the PSN listing suggests that progress from the demo will transfer over to the full game, which is great news considering Final Fantasy games tend to be pretty lengthy.
Speaking of length, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be a chunky game not only length wise but also in terms of size. As expected, the two-disc game will take up a whopping 145.250 GB of space so players might want to expand their storage if they can’t make space.
Data obtained by PlayStation Game Size also suggests that there will be a day-one update of sorts, as the game version is listed as 1.001.000.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will release on February 29.
