Michael Smith silenced the whistlers in Cardiff to win the opening night of this year’s Premier League with the former world champion denying Luke Littler and Gerwyn Price on his way to victory.
The St Helens star denied seven-time Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen, teenage sensation Littler, home favourite Price as well as a volatile crowd to cap off a wonderful performance in the Welsh capital and claim maximum points.

Night Two will see Nathan Aspinall face Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith up against Gerwyn Price, Luke Littler in a rematch of the World Championship semi-final against Rob Cross, and Luke Humphries against Peter Wright.
