The new Apple AirPods 3, which cost $180, do not have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but the $200 Beats Fit Pro do. Both support Spatial Audio to boot.

The new Beats buds are are True Wireless Headset with secure-fit wingtips, which promise to keep the buds in place even during workouts. Speaking of, the buds are water and sweat resistant (IPX4).

The Beats Fit Pro feature Spatial Audio with head tracking for music, movies and games. These are powered by the same Apple H1 chip as the AirPods, by the way, and support some of the same features, including Audio Sharing, which allows two headsets to connect to the same phone (you can even mix Beats and AirPods).

The buds alone can last 6 hours of playback with ANC or Transparency modes enabled, 7 hours if you disable those. The carrying case can recharge the buds up to three times and supports Fast Fuel – 5 minutes of charging is enough for 1 hour of playback. Charging is done over USB-C (no MagSafe here). For comparison, the AirPods 3 last 6 hours (this is without ANC, of course), but the case can recharge them four times.

In the retail box you will find three sizes of silicone eartips and you can use the Fit Test feature in the iOS and Android support apps to ensure a proper fit for optimal acoustic seal. The Adaptive EQ feature will automatically tune the low and mid frequencies to your ears.

Beats Fit Pro colorways: Beats Black, Beats White, Stone Purple and Sage Gray

The Beats Fit Pro can be ordered today in the US for $200, deliveries will start on Friday (November 5). Note that these are yet to show up in other regions.
