Young Horses’ upcoming Bugsnax Isle of BIGsnax update originally wasn’t going to bring additional Trophies to the game, but some poking and prodding from the community, namely Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller, led the developers to change their minds.PlayStation gamers, I did this for you, and I won’t rest until I annoy every developer into sighing and admitting a lot of us care about Trophies. https://t.co/gxwBVXYLHZ— Greg Miller (@GameOverGreggy) October 29, 2021In a series of tweet exchanges, the decision to add Trophies was made in under two days. After announcing the Isle of BIGsnax update, Miller replied and asked “New Trophies?” Things weren’t looking good though. “Not this time. Sorry Greg!” the official Young Horses/Bugsnax account replied.Miller wouldn’t take no for an answer though. “After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to make you a list for free. Please tell PlayStation you’ve reconsidered and need Trophies,” he shot back. Young Horses seemed to be on board. “Fine, we’ll consider it.” The full thread is well worth a read.Young Horses’ own Philip Tibitoski replied to the Twitter thread a couple days later, saying that 20 minutes after they had seen the tweets, the team’s sentiment was “I guess we’re adding new Trophies.”We saw these tweets and about 20 minutes later in team chat the sentiment was, “I guess we’re adding new trophies.”— PhilipOn CandyTibitoski (@PTibz) October 29, 2021Young Horses’ Programmer and Producer Kevin Geisler mentioned that he didn’t even know that you could add Trophies for updates. He was under the impression they were limited to DLC downloads. Make note, game developers! (Looking at you Bungie! Destiny 2 needs more Trophies!)Honestly I just thought you could only add trophies if it were a separate DLC download https://t.co/TdiVPmmbJ0— Kevin Geisler (@luthyr) October 29, 2021So when Bugsnax Isle of BIGsnax update launches in 2022 and you have a few new Trophies to earn as you explore its new biome, larger Bugsnax, hut customization, and ability to put hats on Bugsnax now, remember that it was thanks to the stalwart efforts of Greg Miller and his undying love for PlayStation Trophies that Young Horses even added them in. From all of us diehard Trophy hunters, thanks Greg!
