The partnership started October 27 and will be running monthly with up to seven capsules.

Yesterday Riot Games and Amazon announced a new Prime Gaming partnership that will see players earn a ton of awesome content. The new scheme started October 27 with players getting the opportunity to earn seven Prime Gaming capsules.

Here is what you will receive in the Prime Gaming capsules:

  • 650 Riot Points
  • One 1350 Permanent skin – Unowned
  • Five permanent Champion Shards
  • 200 Orange Essence
  • Two Series 1 sets of Eternals
  • 30-day XP boost

This is a vast improvement on the Prime Gaming loot, which noly used to occasionally give players a free skin-shard. The new long-term deal between Amazon and Riot Games will span across all of Riot’s titles such as League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra and League of Legends: Wild Rift. This new partnership will also make its way to Riot’s esports titles, providing an array of free content across the competitive year.

More content throughout 2022

In the official press release, Prime Gaming also announced they will be releasing exclusive content to celebrate the release of Riot’s newest animated Netflix series, Arcane.

“Riot Games is an incredible partner that will help bring even more value to the Amazon Prime membership,” said Larry Plotnick, GM of Prime Gaming. “We’ve been working with Riot for a while now, but this collaboration raises the value bar for customers to ensure Riot’s games are even better with Amazon Prime. We’re looking forward to featuring additional content for Prime Gaming members in the coming months.”

A bar of boxes for each month show current Prime Gaming LoL rewards, with future ones having basic placeholders.

Along with the announcement, Prime Gaming has also revealed the release schedule, which runs at least until December 22. In May and October of 2022, fans will get to receive “bonus content” though it has not been revealed what those capsules entail.

Riot Games Global Head of Esports John Needham expressed his excitement for this continued and improved partnership with the hopes of improving the fan experience.

“Our fans are extremely passionate about their esports, and we’re constantly looking for opportunities to improve our broadcasts and reward their fandom. I’m excited to extend our longstanding partnership with Prime Gaming and enhance the viewing experience for Worlds 2021, and upcoming Valorant Esports and Wild Rift Esports events.”
