A look at when we might get the Season of Discovery Phase 2 Release Date.
So, Phase 1 has been in full flow for a while now, so when will we get into phase 2. With Season of Discovery Phase 2 Release Date coming sooner or later, we can speculate for now based on what we know. We’ll look more at that below, but we can be sure that it’s coming sooner rather than later.
Season of Discovery Phase 2 Release Date Speculation
Based on the above roadmap, here is our speculation; probably the most interesting here as it gives us an idea of the release cadence of SoD. What we do know is SoD will “end” in 2024. So, in February (likely early) we’ll move into the next Phase and our second raid and leveling bracket. We’ll get the next stage before Cata pre-patch, so probably around April as Blizzard seemed keen on a 8-week or so release period for each Phase of SoD.
Then, after Cata releases, we’ll hit max level, and start to play in whatever the first set of end-game activities are. Classic cuts off in the Autumn, so we expect that final end-game content will come before October.
Recently we found out that both Cataclysm and Retail will be getting updated in January, with the latter coming on the 16th. So, that leaves just the 23rd and 30th of January as possible release dates within the month. What we do know is, that it will come out before the Cataclysm Classic beta, which based on the roadmap above looks like Phase 2 will overlap with it. For us, we think this will see Phase drop on the first possible time in February, which would be the 6th of February.
So, that’s it for now, February 6th is our guess for now, we’ll update this post the second it has an official story.
