Founded in 2020, Champria focuses on a set of technologies to help players find teams and improve their skills. The company uses proprietary technology to connect esports players through recruitment, scrimmages, and team management.

According to the release, the funding round’s aim is to fuel Champria’s growth, expand into new game titles and increase its number of staff. The company also aims to strengthen its partnerships and work on more events.

Champria Founder and CEO, Zeke Chavez, commented: “Being a former esports athlete, I know the struggle that recruiting players, scheduling scrimmages, and managing a team can be. With this round of funding, we will be able to increase our offering and give aspiring esports athletes the ability to take the hassle out of these pain points and focus on what truly matters to them, increasing their skill level so that they can accomplish their dreams.”

Since January, the company has reportedly registered over 2000 teams and scheduled almost 10,000 matches in Rocket League and Overwatch.

Esports Insider says: Champria’s new investment should provide the project with the traction it needs to reach a broader audience. One of the biggest challenges in esports is actually getting to a team and finding ways to practice, and Champria is focused precisely on that. This pre-seed round will help the company grow faster, and hire more people. In turn, that will help more players and small teams.
