Avy has been flying on multiple continents across the world, onboarding new customers globally. We grew towards continuous operations and saw the market and technology mature. And, we continued pioneering and developing leading technology in a very exciting industry. We launched the Aera 4We gave our flagship aircraft a huge upgrade this year to improve its weatherproofness and to embed a stand-alone certified parachute system. With this, we are now able to fly in nearly 100% of all weather situations, as well as over more densely populated areas (the parachute system improves the overall safety of the aircraft, allowing operators to fly over more types of ground spaces). Also, we improved the design for manufacturability so we can shorten delivery timelines and scale up our production capacity in 2024. We got our LUC-permitAfter three years of hard work, implementing a Safety Management System and writing detailed documentation, Avy has been approved the Light Unmanned Aircraft Operator Certificate. This gives Avy the possibility to self-authorize SORA’s (Flight plan risk assessments), eliminating the requirement to apply at national aviation authorities. This is a huge win for us, as it not only gives us more possibilities to fly and drastically reduces waiting times, it is also a proof of confidence the authorities have in us as being a safe aviation company. We won the award for “Best Scaleup of the NetherlandsJust after the summer, we heard we were selected as one of the participants for the Dutch Business Awards. In a few episodes, aired on Dutch National television, Avy competed against 11 other Dutch Scale-ups. In the final episode, aired on the 10th of December, the Jury granted Avy the award for “Best Scale-up of the Netherlands”, praising Avy‘s overall societal impact, focus on sustainability and high innovation capacity.
